Whitening FAQ

Whitening FAQ

What whitening methods do you offer?

We offer office whitening (done in the clinic), home whitening (done at home), and dual whitening, which combines both. We suggest the plan that best fits the shade you want, how easily you can visit, and your schedule.

What are the features and process of office whitening?

A special gel is applied to the tooth surface and whitened with a light.
The effect is easy to notice after just one session, so it suits people who want whiter teeth in a short time. We proceed in the order counseling → cleaning if needed → treatment → check. If you don’t reach the shade you want, we’ll discuss additional sessions.

What’s the procedure and wear time for home whitening?

You put gel into a custom tray made from an impression of your teeth and wear it.
Continue at home for about 2 hours a day, for up to about 2 weeks. Do not wear it while sleeping. After taking it off, brush your teeth, rinse, and clean the tray too. We check the result at the clinic once you’ve finished.

What are the benefits of dual whitening?

It’s a method that gets you both the quick effect of office whitening and the adjustability and lasting effect of home whitening.
The gel’s penetration and whitening action complement each other, so the effect is easy to notice in a short time and the whiteness tends to last. It also suits people with limited time before an event.

Are there any eating or drinking restrictions after treatment?

Our office whitening doesn’t require any eating or drinking restrictions. Coffee, tea, and other staining foods and drinks are fine. The benefit is that you can aim for whiter teeth without changing your daily routine (depending on your individual oral condition, we may give you specific precautions).

Will it sting or hurt?

Our method is designed to reduce sensitivity such as stinging or pain.
We use an LED light that cuts harmful UV rays, aiming for a gentler treatment. If you do feel any stinging, we’ll guide you through how to handle it, so please tell us about your condition and medical history on the day.

How soon will my teeth whiten, and how long does it last?

Office whitening makes the effect easy to notice after just one session, while home whitening takes a bit longer to whiten but is less prone to color coming back.
Dual whitening draws on both advantages, giving a good balance of a noticeable effect and lasting results. We choose the method to match the shade you’re aiming for and your schedule.

Do I need a cleaning before treatment?

Depending on the condition of your teeth, we may first remove tartar and stains with a cleaning such as PMTC before proceeding.
Clearing the surface buildup beforehand reduces unevenness and can be expected to improve how satisfied you are with the result. We let you know whether it’s needed at the examination.

Please tell me about the safety of the equipment (the light).

It’s designed to use a 470–480nm photocatalytic range, with LED light that cuts harmful UV rays.
This approach balances care for your teeth and gums with efficient whitening in a short time. We work within a range that’s reasonable for the condition of your own teeth and gums.

How many visits are needed, and how do I book?

Office whitening can show an effect after just one session, but we consider additional sessions depending on the shade you want.
For home whitening, you continue at home after we give you the tray, and we check it at the clinic when you’ve finished.
You can book online or by phone (weekdays 10:00–14:00, 15:00–19:00).
