Sex and age Man in his 30s
Chief complaint The patient came saying “I want the overall shade of my teeth to be whiter” and “I want a beautiful smile without having teeth ground down.”
Without grinding the surface of their own teeth, we carried out “no-prep laminate veneers,” bonding ultra-thin ceramic shells with a dedicated adhesive, on 16 teeth, upper and lower.
Because the teeth are not ground down, anesthesia is not needed and there is almost no pain. By adjusting the overall shade and shape at the same time, we achieved an ideal smile that makes the whole face look brighter and more glamorous at once.
Treatment period and number of visits Period: about 2 weeks to 1 month
Visits: 2 to 3 (impression → fitting)
(Given as a general guide)
Cost ¥132,000 per tooth (tax included) × 16 teeth
Total: ¥2,112,000 (tax included)
Risks and side effects Because ceramic is bonded onto the tooth, it is slightly thicker than the original tooth (it may feel odd until you get used to it).
Because extremely thin ceramic is used, it may crack or come off if very strong force is applied. Depending on the bite, it may not be suitable.
