Orthodontics FAQ
What’s the process from consultation to starting treatment?
We first listen to your concerns and wishes in a free counseling session. Next, we run a detailed examination, including intraoral photos, X-rays, and a dental impression, and explain the treatment plan, duration, and cost based on the results.
Once you agree to the plan, we fit the appliance and begin treatment. You can book online or by phone.
What orthodontic methods do you offer?
We offer labial braces (standard or cosmetic brackets), lingual (tongue-side) braces, and Invisalign.
Each has different traits in appearance, speech and eating comfort, and treatment time, so we ask about your lifestyle and preferences during counseling and suggest the method that suits you.
How long do I wear Invisalign each day, and how often do I switch aligners?
You wear the clear aligner for 20 hours or more a day and switch to the next aligner every 7 to 14 days, moving your teeth gradually.
It’s hard to notice and removable, which makes eating and brushing easier (suitability depends on your case).
I’m worried about pain during orthodontic treatment and its effect on daily life.
How it feels differs by method. Invisalign is hard to notice, removable, and easy to clean, while lingual braces are also hard to notice but may cause discomfort while eating or temporary difficulty speaking clearly. In either case, this eases as you adjust and we fine-tune the appliance.
About how much does treatment cost?
As a guide: consultation is free, the examination fee is 44,000 yen, and the adjustment fee is 5,500 yen; appliance fees are listed as 770,000 yen for standard labial braces and 825,000 yen for cosmetic labial braces. The total varies with the appliance and the case’s difficulty, so we confirm it when we explain your results after the examination.
Are there different payment options?
We accept cash, major credit cards, transit IC cards, and PayPay.
We also offer a dental loan plan and other ways to keep your monthly payments down. Please talk to us about structuring your payments at your first counseling session.
How often and how long do visits take? Can I fit this around work?
The interval between visits and the total treatment time depend on your case. We’re open weekdays 10:00–14:00, 15:00–19:00, and it’s a 1-minute walk from Toranomon Hills Station and a 6-minute walk from Toranomon Station, so access is good. When we first plan your treatment, we suggest a visit schedule that fits your routine (last appointment accepted up to 1 hour before the end of each session).
When is it decided whether I need a tooth extracted?
Whether to extract a tooth is decided at the detailed examination and diagnosis stage.
We take your tooth alignment, bone structure, and bite into account, explain it along with the treatment plan, duration, and cost, and move forward only once you understand and agree (we never push an unreasonable plan).
I’m worried about getting a cavity or periodontal disease during orthodontic treatment.
We teach you the cleaning method that suits your appliance. Invisalign can be removed for brushing, which makes it easier to keep your mouth healthy. With bracket appliances, using cleaning aids alongside your toothbrush strengthens plaque control, and regular professional care lowers the risk.
How do I book, and what should I bring to my visit?
All visits are by appointment.
Please book your date and time online or by phone. If this is your first visit, please bring your health insurance card (without it, you pay the full cost yourself). If something comes up urgently, call us and we’ll advise you based on your situation.
