Invisalign FAQ
What kind of orthodontic treatment is Invisalign?
It’s a method that straightens your teeth with a nearly clear, mouthpiece-style aligner.
It’s hard to notice and can be removed when needed. For a special occasion such as a wedding, you can take it off and put it back on afterward. It’s an orthodontic treatment that’s easy to fit around your lifestyle.
What’s the process from consultation to starting treatment?
In a free counseling session, we listen to your concerns, check your mouth, and run an examination centered on a scan. Based on the results, we explain the plan and duration, and once you agree, we explain how to use the aligners and begin treatment.
You can book online or by phone (weekdays 10:00–14:00, 15:00–19:00, last appointment accepted up to 1 hour before the end of each session).
What’s the cost breakdown and what packages are there?
Listed fees are: consultation free, adjustment 3,300 yen, detailed examination 33,000 yen, and retainer 55,000 yen.
Packages are: Light 495,000 yen, Standard 880,000 yen, Premium 1,012,000 yen, and the Children’s Set (phase 1 and phase 2) 880,000 yen. We suggest the plan that best fits your case.
About how often do I visit, and how long does treatment take?
Maintenance visits are basically every 4 to 6 weeks, which makes it easy to plan around even a busy schedule.
Treatment is generally expected to take 1 to 3 years. Progress varies from person to person, so we adjust the plan through repeated reassessment.
Will it get in the way of everyday life or events?
Because Invisalign is hard to notice and removable, you can handle business settings, meals out, and ceremonies flexibly. It’s easy to combine with an active lifestyle, and it’s designed as an option that lets you keep doing what you want to do.
I’m worried about losing or forgetting to wear my aligner.
Being removable is an advantage, but it also carries a risk of forgetting to wear it or losing it.
We explain how to handle and store the aligner when you start treatment. Wearing and switching aligners on schedule affects how predictably the treatment goes, so we support you with your day-to-day management.
I don’t do well with mouth impressions — will I be okay?
We use an iTero scanner.
It reads your mouth with a camera and turns it into precise data, so it’s easier on people who don’t do well with traditional impression material, and it leads to more accurate aligners. It’s also easier on people with a strong gag reflex.
Is there any pain or discomfort?
You may notice some temporary discomfort right after putting in or switching aligners, but it usually eases as you get used to it. The material and design are chosen with wearing comfort in mind, and we guide you appropriately as we watch your progress. Please let us know if anything feels wrong.
Can I visit between work? How’s the access?
We’re a 1-minute walk from Toranomon Hills Station and a 6-minute walk from Toranomon Station, open weekdays 10:00–14:00, 15:00–19:00 (closed Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, last appointment accepted up to 1 hour before the end of each session, emergency patients by arrangement). Online booking is open 24 hours. It’s a location that’s easy to visit from the business district.
